What is a Loving Lynx?

LOVING LYNX was created from the crossing of the most affectionate, health tested and wild looking Maine Coons. Wild-looking felines perfect for people who want a the look but realize wild animals are unpredictable. No wild cat blood, completely domestic cat breed with a dependable temperament. A blend of American and European bloodlines selected for optimal health. For 13 years I have watched Maine Coon breeders all over the world archiving select pairings for the day I would follow my dream to create a healthy properly screened Maine Coons that we call the “Loving Lynx”. A wild look without the wild tenancies.

temperament

100% Domestic, Gentle, Non-aggressive

The Loving Lynx is litter-trained and stays loving throughout it’s long lifespan. Extreme look without extreme habits. Our chosen bloodlines have a distinct wild look with big paws, lynx tips, sound temperament, beautiful muzzles, tall ears, long tails, heavier boning, and generous size with no wild cat blood.

Maine Coons are noted as the most gentle breeds you can own. They are considered one of the longest cat breeds in the world, with some reaching 38" in length and weighing 18-30 pounds! You can have a domestic cat that has no wild blood.

Compare Breeds

Not a hybrid cat breed.

Maine Coons are 100% domestic safe replacements for wild cats such as Caracal, Lynx, Ocelot, or Serval. Absolutely no hybrid crossings of Bobcat, Jungle Cat, Asian Leopard Cat and Serval. Bobcat hybrids and Lynx hybrids are absolutely genetically impossible. No breeders or scientist has ever proven by DNA that any so called hybrid exists. Even if they could exist that would make awful pets. Lynx cats are notoriously mouthy (bitty), they are very hard to handle and will not act like a domestic.

HEALTH TESTING

All of our adults go through a through DNA health screening. They receive a comprehensive set of results for 40 genetic diseases and also tests for 20+ traits (including blood type, coat colors, coat types, and morphology). Maine Coons in specific should be health tested at minim for HCM, PKD and SMA .
